- The meteor shower associated with the debris of the 209P/LINEAR comet peaked in intensity last night. Apparently it wasn’t as impressive as anticipated.
- Alexey Nigin has discovered a 12-face golyhedron. I suspect that this is most probably optimal.
- The final selection process for the UK IMO team has just commenced. This year, the competition is more intense on the basis that there are ten contenders (instead of the usual eight or nine) for the six available positions.
- Ray Goldstein et al have been investigating the dynamics of soap films under the deformation of the boundary.
